The St. Croix Valley Birthing Community Yahoo group is an online discussion group open to anyone who wants to discuss birth and parenting in the St. Croix Valley and beyond.  It is for prospective and current students, alumni and friends of St. Croix Birth & Parenting, as well as health care providers, educators, and anyone else interested in birth and parenting!  The group is open to all, regardless of parenting style, or faith.  It is intended to be encouraging and supportive to all of us in the great job of Mom or Dad, and to be a forum for discussing the state of birth primarily in the Valley, as well as anywhere else you may choose to give birth!  You don't have to attend our classes to take part in the discussion group!

Birth Center Informational Evening

St. Croix Birth & Parenting wants to provide the opportunity for more women and couples to have a safe, gentle, out-of-hospital birth.  While homebirth is a wonderful choice, it is not always possible for every couple, due to space or privacy limitations in their home or other needs.  A free-standing birth center, staffed by experienced and capable midwives, is an additional safe birthing option for many couples.

St. Croix Birth & Parenting plans to host an evening to discuss the possibility of opening a free-standing birth center in the Twin Cities.  If you are interested in attending the evening, are an expectant parent who wants to see a birth center opened in the Twin Cities area, or want to join a task force to open a birth center, please contact us!!  Scroll down for an interest form.  To plan well, it is vital to hear from anyone interested in seeing that a birth center is opened; the more people who respond, the more likely it is that the birth center will see Opening Day.  Your opinion matters!

Please check back for more information about when and where the meeting will be held.

Sound off!  Let us know about your interest or send us your opinion about opening a midwife-staffed, free-standing birth center in the Twin Cities area!
